My favourite character story-line are the adventures of Hiro and Ando. Why are they my favourite? First off, Hiro is a bit of a nerd himself. He likes Star Trek, comic books and science. Not only does he like Star Trek but Mr. Sulu is his dad and his dad’s limo’s license plate is NCC-1701. If you’re a nerd, you’ll know exactly what NCC-1701 is. Hiro and Ando tend to have the most comical adventures compared to other characters plus Hiro’s powers of bending time & space are the most interesting to me. Unfortunately Hiro used his powers to cheat at poker once in Las Vegas. A noble cause but morally wrong on so many grounds.

If you haven’t seen Heroes yet, you should watch it from the start. It’s hard to catch episode 1 on TV so you have the choice of buying the season 1 box set in stores or downloading the show from a bittorrent site. Since I won’t link to copyrighted materials from my blog, please use Google as a tool to locate Heroes.

Sheri and I think they are setting up paired equality between bad and good, black and white, dark and light for a good old fashioned epic conflict. It seems that every good character has an equal and opposite “bad guy” character with the same or similar gift. Some examples are Parkman vs Parkman sr, Nathan vs claires boyfriend, and ok this is where it is a stretch – Peter vs Adam (Kensei). We think that the Japanese princess and or her father have the self healing power and are the direct decendants of Hiro. We think Adam gains others powers when he is near them (like Peter). he gets the self healing from the princess, and time travel ability from Hiro. Well I guess time will tell, I will continue to be glued to the television when Heroes is on…
