After about three weeks of casual gaming, I finished Super Mario Galaxy tonight.  There isn’t much of ending to spoil – yes, you save the princess from Bowser.  Bet you didn’t expect that, huh?  Why change a good formula though.

The game has a total of 120 stars to collect – each star is basically a level to complete.  Right now, I have 77 of 120 stars.  As is usually the way with Super Mario games, you don’t need to finish all the levels to finish the game.  Many levels of the game are hidden and will keep you challenged even after finishing the game.

Overall, Super Mario Galaxy is pretty awesome and keeps getting better the further you play in to it.  The gameplay is pretty mixed with a nice variety of fast-paced levels and others to take your time and explore through.  While some of the levels are large, they lack a bit of depth that some of the Mario 64 levels had – like the clock tower level.  Now that was a cool level!  If you’ve enjoyed Mario games in the past or have yet to play a Mario game, this is a must own game.  Buy it, Buy it!

Now the question is, how many stars in total can I collect?  Can I achieve a perfect score?  Might as well try!
