Finally, finally finished Scarface for Wii. Not sure exactly how long it took but I’m estimating about 35 hours in total. I probably need to find more productive hobbies but the game was a lot of fun with a lot of colorful language. The soundtrack added a lot to the game when driving around, delivering drugs and killing gangsters to the songs of Judas Priest, Iggy Pop and over 100 tracks of 80’s, rock, country, reggae & spanish music. Definitely an awesome game that any fan of the Grand Theft Auto series or the Scarface movie will enjoy. Now if only I could find Guitar Hero III for Wii somewhere….
Archive for the “Video Games” CategoryI got a Halo 3 limited edition set from work for the Christmas gift exchange. Pretty nice gift! Only problem is that I don’t have an XBox 360 to play it on! Anyone out there looking for this game? Drop me a line and we’ll talk. As for Wii games, I picked up Scarface and that is a pretty good game. Kind of a rip-off of Grand Theft Auto but still fun as hell with some pretty good music. After about three weeks of casual gaming, I finished Super Mario Galaxy tonight. There isn’t much of ending to spoil – yes, you save the princess from Bowser. Bet you didn’t expect that, huh? Why change a good formula though. The game has a total of 120 stars to collect – each star is basically a level to complete. Right now, I have 77 of 120 stars. As is usually the way with Super Mario games, you don’t need to finish all the levels to finish the game. Many levels of the game are hidden and will keep you challenged even after finishing the game. Overall, Super Mario Galaxy is pretty awesome and keeps getting better the further you play in to it. The gameplay is pretty mixed with a nice variety of fast-paced levels and others to take your time and explore through. While some of the levels are large, they lack a bit of depth that some of the Mario 64 levels had – like the clock tower level. Now that was a cool level! If you’ve enjoyed Mario games in the past or have yet to play a Mario game, this is a must own game. Buy it, Buy it! Now the question is, how many stars in total can I collect? Can I achieve a perfect score? Might as well try! I picked up Super Mario Galaxy on the way home from work. I’ll be back in a few days… This is a pretty nice theme but am I going overboard with the Mario? Don’t want people to think I’m obsessive compulsive or some odd disorder… (4 days ’till Mario Galaxy) I put up a section for the classic Nintendo NES 8-bit games. They are playable in your browser through a java NES emulator. It’s pretty slick but playing with the keyboard sure doesn’t have the feel that the old Nintendo controller had. The memories and nostalgia factor still makes the games fun to play so enjoy! |
